At City Signs, we try to give you a variety of designs to choose from. A design that is popular and gives a professional look is a monument layered with masonry. Masonry refers to beautiful stonework.
Example

The image above illustrates one of the signs we helped create before the masonry was added. The sign itself is already beautiful.

However, adding masonry gave the sign a more earthy look. It allows the company to associate their brand with nature and comfort. Masonry is not limited to one specific style however.
Masonry can also give a more beachy vibe. For example, sandstone boulders are great for businesses that wish to put coastal as part of their branding.
How To Get A Sign with Masonry
Design
First, a City Signs designer will guide you on what type of masonry would best benefit your sign. They will help create a design that shows how your sign will look once fully made.
Permitting
Next, your sign’s design will have to get approved by the city or county. At City Signs, we have a permitting specialist who will help contact county/city officials for you and ensure your sign follows guidelines.
Fabrication and Production
After the sign is permitted, City Signs will create your sign. It can go through many phases like routing, building, painting and more. Once your sign passes quality control, it can be installed.
Installation
Soon, City Signs installers will contact you to begin the process of installing your sign. Usually with monuments, we have to make a few trips to prepare for that installation of the monument. After the monument is installed, masonry will be placed on the base of your sign (or other locations depending on your approved design).
